ROBYN SEAGER // FASHION DESIGNER

21 Years old, born in Zimbabwe - currently residing in Cape Town & in my final year at Cape Town College of Fashion Design. Fashion has always been a huge part of my life and I knew from a very young age that I would end up this industry. My main aspirations in the fashion industry are to amalgamate my two absolute passions into one, which are; fashion & social work. In turn, using fashion as a vessel to voice issues in the world that require attention, tell a story and ultimately make a change - or at least change mindsets of those who view my work. Everything I create always has a deep intrisic meaning and the underlying concept is of great importance to me, thus allowing me to be fully invested. Predominantely design menswear - though am branching into womenswear. I hope to create thought provoking work that strikes a cord within people and encourages them to help make a change, no matter how small.

Current collection entitled NIRVANIC is a gender fluid menswear collection, offering clothing of a high standard with a high fashion edge - hoping to blur the lines between genders and make a drastic step forward in the South African fashion industry. Inspired by a nirvanic state of mind achieved through clarity of the mind and the selfless help of and acts towards others.
